It might be possible that something is not going well within you. You might felt low. It can be the case that you cannot describe your feelings in a word. You can’t express what you are going through. We all know that man is a bundle of desires and always thinks about how to fulfill them but things do not shape up as per your desire always. Sometimes the situation is against you, sometimes the person you love does not reciprocate your feelings, and sometimes destiny does not favor you and you feel miserable. You might face hardship in your family, personal, or professional life. Because of this, you are feeling downhearted and depression creeps deeper and deeper in you. These feelings soon turn into a demon, a demon that preys on you.
Lifestyle, in the present scenario, creates perfect conditions for the growth of anxiety and depression. Today we all have behavior oscillations. Sometimes we feel sad or depressed for no reason. It is important to figure it out and tackle this grim situation.
Understand it
In depression you feel all alone, you do not want to take part in any activity; you show a kind of unwillingness. You either don’t want to eat or want to eat too much, either you suffer from sleeplessness or feel sleepy all the time. Every now and then you feel inner inertness or escapism too. So depression or feeling of depression differs from person to person and depends on how that person has taken it in his life.
Depression is self-damaging; it makes you hollow and damages you up to any extent. Occasionally a person develops suicidal tendencies and in the fits of depression person damages himself. That is why a depressed person is more dangerous than the person having a gun in his hands.
When you are immersed in the pond of sorrow, you go deeper and deeper and couldn’t find the way to come out of it.
These people want to get sympathy, but normal sympathy shown by mere words can’t help them. They need someone, either a friend or a family member whom he can talk to and spend time with them.
What is the theory behind it?
Ego is the answer to all the depression-related problems. When something does not go according to the plan people get hurt. Now the question is why people get hurt? When a person’s ego gets hurt, the ultimate result is the person feels dejected. When his /her feelings hurt, he shows his/her unwillingness to the concerned subject or matter and slowly cut himself from the matter.
How to stop
Our entire body system works on energy. In the phase of feeling dispirited generating negative energy is a natural phenomenon, and it is not in your hands but if it is up to you how to deal with negative energy; convert and manage that negative energy. You can always convert your negative energy, your negative emotions into a positive one by positive thinking, acceptance, and just by go with the flow.
If you are sad you have the power within you to mold yourself and become compassionate. You just have to take care of your thoughts and remain connected with your friends and family members. You need to talk and express your feelings to your dear ones. You can also take advice from a professional. You can engage yourself in rendering some social services to the needy people and get relief from your pain and loneliness. If you do this successfully, it means you are channelizing your energy constructively.
Yoga and meditation
Yoga and meditation are great ways to combat depression. This theory also works on the energy system. In this theory your body, mind, and energy work in combined form.
When all your senses controlled by the mind and the mind focused on some point, or some object, or some job then your mind is automatically engaged and there is no room for a negative thought and you fill with positive energy and at this stage, depression will move out.
Your inner power will play a prominent role in dealing with depression. If you have a strong will to come out of it, you will definitely come out of it.
I met Shina in the hospital where she was taking treatment of her depression and soon she got discharged and recovered from depression I asked her how you did that? she told me she always thought about her mother as her mother was a very strong lady to combat any situation so she also did it.
Divert your attention
Creativity is an ability to tap into your inner pool of resources. The key is just to engross yourself into something which interests you. Don’t sit idle. Don’t cut off yourself from the society. Keep yourself busy in some kind of creative work and channelize your energy constructively.
Medication
Take help from a doctor. Consult a doctor, talk to him, and take his guidance. If your doctor suggests some medication, then take your medicines seriously and timely. This will help you manage your life in the right direction. After sometime greys will disappear and you can see a bright side and develop the right attitude.
